Counselling

Amity provides specialised services relating to alcohol, other drugs and gambling. Amity’s counselling service is for people and/or their family and friends.

We understand that people gamble and/or use alcohol and drugs for a variety of reasons and that these behaviours can have both benefits and harms.

People may use drugs, alcohol and/or volatile substances as a way to cope with painful thoughts and feelings. These coping strategies can be helpful at the time to alleviate those thoughts and feelings, but can have long term health implications.

From this view, our team aims to understand each person’s unique experience and situation and our qualified counsellors provide non-judgemental, professional and confidential counselling sessions.
